Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Instructor & Operations Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for delivering teaching curricula in both group and one-on-one settings, as well as assisting with the implementation of operations and administration associated with educational programming.
Key Responsibilities- Implement Tutorverse test prep math and ELA curricula for middle and high school students in after-school and weekend settings.
- Provide one-on-one tutoring to students in similar content areas.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships and rapport with parents, students, staff, and partners.
- Assist with the implementation, documentation, and improvement of key business processes, including data aggregation, analysis, reporting, and action.
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, preferably in education or a related field.
- 3+ years' experience teaching in both in-person and online classroom settings.
- 3+ years' previous experience teaching the SHSAT, ISEE, and/or SAT.
- Ability to teach in-person in Manhattan.
- Subject-matter expertise in elementary, middle, and high school subjects, including knowledge of grade-level standards.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and people skills and instincts.
- Inexhaustible drive, energy, enthusiasm, and mental agility.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills, including a thorough command of the English language.
- Intermediate-level proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace.
- Minimum typing speed of 65 words per minute.
- 5+ years' experience teaching in both in-person and online classroom settings.
- Administrative experience managing classroom rosters, student information and data, and liaising with parents, students, and partners.
- Demonstrable project management skills and commitment to quality and timeliness.
- Unexpired NYS teaching certification; unexpired NYC DOE/DOH fingerprinting and authorization.
- Expert-level proficiency in MS Office.
