Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Civil Construction Project Leader and Estimator will oversee in-house teams and subcontractors, engaging directly with clients while managing the bidding and billing processes for projects. This role is integral to the Project Management and Construction teams, collaborating with various personnel across the organization.

The selected candidate will perform estimating duties and assist with the administrative aspects of ongoing projects by reviewing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare material and subcontractor take-offs for bidding purposes.

This position collaborates with project teams and liaises with vendors and other departments.

Key Duties Include:
- Directing and managing both internal and external project teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Providing daily updates and communication to both external clients and internal management.
- Establishing processes and teams necessary to fulfill all project requirements.
- Coordinating with the Project Construction Lead regarding project timelines, execution, and closeout.
- Leading weekly meetings with clients and project teams.
- Dispatching crews to project sites and guiding them on required tasks.
- Completing bidding and billing processes for each project upon completion.
- Approving timesheets and daily logs.
- Ensuring crews have the appropriate equipment for their tasks.
- Preparing and submitting bids.
- Drafting subcontracts and purchase orders for projects.
- Assisting operations with administrative duties related to projects.
- Providing bid information for tracking purposes and enhancing the bidding process.
- Organizing job files for operational use.
- Maintaining an up-to-date job log.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Civil Construction Project Manager.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Civil Construction Estimator.
- Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 4 or more years of experience in Construction Project Management.
- Professional Engineer or Project Management Professional certifications.
- Basic knowledge of Primavera P6.
- OSHA 10 certification.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This position is primarily office-based, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and scanners.

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

This role is mostly sedentary, with occasional filing or lifting required. The candidate must be able to bend, lift, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
