  1. Job Summary:
    Metro Community Health Center is seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a key member of our dental team, you will provide quality dental care and associated services to patients under the general supervision of a dentist using established dental hygiene procedures.


  2. Key Responsibilities:

    • Assesses dental condition and needs of patients using approved patient screening procedures, including medical history review, dental charting, and periodontal charting.
    • Provides direct patient care and dental services as trained, licensed, and assigned.
    • Evaluates overall oral health, examining oral cavity for signs of periodontal disease or possible cancers.
    • Completes all necessary radiographs and oral camera pictures each appointment.
    • Documents dental/medical history, chief complaint, and all necessary diagnostic data in the patient chart.



  3. Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Successful completion of an accredited dental hygienist program.
    • Current Registered Dental Hygienist with Pennsylvania licensure.
    • Current CPR Certification.
    • License to administer local anesthesia is preferred.



  4. Working Conditions:

    • Normal clinic working environment.
    • Requires good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be able to speak and read and write the English Language.
