Key Responsibilities:- Maintenance and Repair: Perform and oversee maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including pumps, motors, piping, reactors, tanks, and boilers, to support 24-hour operations.
- Supervision and Training: Supervise and train plant maintenance mechanics to ensure safety standards and environmental compliance.
- Problem-Solving and Communication: Solve complex equipment failures, diagnose problems, and communicate effectively with all levels of management and internal customers.
- Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain up-to-date accurate records and complete routine paperwork and documentation as required.
- Health and Safety: Work safely with and around toxic and corrosive chemicals, wearing proper safety equipment (PPE), and adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial/manufacturing plant, with chemical manufacturing experience preferred.
- Education: HS Diploma/GED required, college or certification from a technical school desired.
- Skills: Proven ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain pumps commonly found in a chemical manufacturing plant, including centrifugal, diaphragm, vacuum, metering, canned motor, magnetic drive, gear/positive displacement.
- Certifications: Experience with monitoring and adjusting DCS/PLC systems (Delta V), proficiency performing pH tests and adjust for alkalinity/acidity, and knowledge of performing general fire safety tasks.
- Compensation: $95,000 to $105,000+
