Position Details:

Liberty Personnel Services is collaborating with a comprehensive financial advisory and investment organization that specializes in supporting small to mid-sized business owners. We are currently seeking a Lead Audit Consultant to join their team.

This role has been established in response to significant growth and an expanding client base. The successful candidate will oversee accounting deliverables (not full audits) for private business clients, which includes preparing financial statements, compilations, and reviews. You will assist the Managing Partner by validating financial reports and providing strategic advice to clients, acting as a mini-CFO for their financial operations, restructurings, budgeting, and forecasting.

This is a permanent position that offers a competitive compensation package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a mini-CFO or mini-CAO for high-value clients across various industries.
  • Engage with businesses to comprehend their operations, projects, and objectives.
  • Oversee engagement deliverables and validate financial reports.
  • Collaborate with privately held business owners on a wide range of advisory and accounting services, including succession planning, acquisitions, and M&A.
  • Provide insights on financial matters, restructuring, budgeting, and transaction assistance.
  • Facilitate strategic planning and address complex client challenges.
  • Manage and mentor small to large teams.
  • Train and develop junior staff members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting, advisory, or progressive corporate accounting roles.
  • Experience in audit is preferred.
  • Familiarity with compilations and reviews is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with professionals at all levels.
  • CPA certification is required.
