Position Overview:
The Time Study Industrial Engineer is responsible for conducting comprehensive time and motion studies to assess employee work patterns and methodologies. The primary objective is to develop and implement strategies that promote optimal efficiency in the utilization of production personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead time and motion studies to pinpoint areas for enhancing overall productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- Observe and analyze work processes to ascertain the time and motion requirements for various roles.
- Evaluate data and specifications to set realistic time and production benchmarks.
- Utilize mathematical analysis to derive objective metrics for alternative work patterns.
- Employ industrial management techniques to formulate recommendations aimed at reducing costs and time through modifications in work methods, staffing, wage structures, and equipment upgrades.
- Design and oversee all aspects of the production workflow, applying industrial engineering principles and best practices.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to refine wage and salary policies based on projected labor expenses.
- Support marketing and sales teams in pricing strategies by developing a robust cost analysis framework.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, maintaining professionalism in staff interactions.
- Proficient time management skills with a proven track record of identifying efficient task execution methods.
- Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or a related discipline is required.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing setting is essential.
