Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist Specialist to join our team at Regal Rexnord. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various machines to produce high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Set up and operate machines to produce quality parts, maintaining tolerance, dimensions, concentricity, and surface finishes as specified on drawings and/or sales orders.
  • Inspection and Quality Control: Inspect work frequently according to sound machining practices and established procedures during and upon completion of machining operations to ensure quality parts.
  • Tool Selection and Maintenance: Select proper tools, tool holders, holding devices, etc. to assure proper setup and machine operation, center bars as required.
  • Measurement and Calculation: Use all micrometers and measuring instruments required to produce quality parts, making any calculations required to setup and operate equipment properly.
  • Machine Maintenance: Make minor adjustments to machine computer and/or tooling setup as required to assure product quality and safe operation of equipment.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Keep work area clean, orderly, and maintain safe conduct, emptying all chip pans as needed or at end of shift, cleaning and painting machines associated to maintain 5S requirements.
  • Material Handling: Transfer product to next operation using available material handling equipment, pulling own material from stock/storeroom to ensure proper workflow.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load finished product and unload all supplies, material, parts, and equipment purchased from outside sources or products returned by customers.
  • Cleaning and Labeling: Clean, label, and serialize to specification as required.
Requirements
  • Shop Trade Knowledge/Education: High School diploma or equivalent with shop trade knowledge/education.
  • Drawings/Specs: Reading and comprehension of drawings/specifications and/or written instructions.
  • Measuring Instruments: Correct reading and recording of measuring instruments required in the job.
  • Shop Math: Required mathematical abilities to perform necessary functions of the job.
  • Knowledge of Theory and Practice: Basic understanding or knowledge of required theory and practices needed to perform the job.
  • Demonstrated Ability: Level of demonstrated ability to perform all functions of the job.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical demands include standing, bending, reaching for extended periods of time, and lifting up to 50lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
