As a Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive mental health assessments, formulating clinical decisions, and providing treatment to patients with complex mental health conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with complex mental health conditions.
- Prescribe and manage medications as needed.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay up-to-date with current research and best practices.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of a psychiatry residency program.
- Active Florida medical license and DEA registration.
- Board certification in psychiatry or eligibility for certification.
- 3-5 years of experience in psychiatry, preferably in an outpatient setting.
Working Conditions:
This position requires 80% or more time spent standing/walking. The ability to lift weight equivalents to that required when assisting and positioning patients, repositioning equipment, and lifting supplies is also necessary.
