Supply Room Attendant/Housekeeping Responsibilities

The Supply Room Attendant/Housekeeping is responsible for providing supply room coverage and light housekeeping duties, including cleaning injector needles and tools. Key responsibilities include:

  • Handing out supplies and ensuring adequate stock to meet facility needs
  • Tracking inventory and supply distribution
  • Cleaning injector needles and tools
  • Cleaning laundry daily
  • Picking up and cleaning tables/counters in lunch rooms, locker rooms, and meeting rooms daily
  • Cleaning sinks and toilets in restrooms
  • Mopping floors in miscellaneous office areas
  • Shoveling snow and salting walkways during winter months
  • Performing other duties as assigned, including break coverage, checking supplies, collecting knives, etc.

Non-Essential Duties and Expectations

The Supply Room Attendant/Housekeeping may be asked to rotate to positions between departments or positions that require data collecting and record keeping. All team members are expected to:

  • Observe and enforce all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating effectively with customers, clients, coworkers, and leadership teams
  • Participate in process improvement and problem-solving using continuous improvement and rational thinking methodologies

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have the ability to comprehend simple instructions, apply common sense, and deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. They should be able to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day, multitask, and work quickly. Good communication skills are essential. A high school diploma is preferred, and intermediate analytical skills are desired. A continuous improvement mindset is also preferred.
