About the Role:


The Activation Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the marketing partnership activation and account management for the Memphis Grizzlies, FedExForum, Memphis Hustle, and Grizz Gaming.

This position will concentrate on the organization, logistics, implementation, and assessment of benefits for designated partner accounts. The ideal candidate should demonstrate exceptional client relationship skills, innovative problem-solving abilities, event and logistics planning expertise, and the capacity to manage several accounts concurrently.


Key responsibilities will include overseeing interdepartmental processes, collaborating with the Manager of Activation on specific departmental projects, and providing direct support in the sales and research/assessment phases for marketing partners throughout the duration of the contract.


Key Responsibilities:
Develop and coordinate activation strategies for initiatives related to the Memphis Grizzlies, FedExForum, Memphis Hustle, and Grizz Gaming.


Maintain regular communication, fulfillment, and renewal of a personal portfolio of corporate partners, emphasizing performance and upsell potential.


Understand the goals and objectives of assigned partners and key performance indicators to actively contribute to the creation of engaging, innovative, and measurable marketing and activation programs that enhance the partnership value for both the partner and the organization by managing expectations and communicating timelines effectively.


Oversee the planning and execution of all contractual elements for assigned partners, including traditional media assets, in-market promotions, in-arena activations, hospitality, experiential events, and community programs. Ensure the seamless delivery of all contracted benefits while anticipating stakeholder needs.


Evaluate program effectiveness against partner objectives and KPIs, maintaining tracking of partner deliverables.

Prepare and present mid-season and year-end partnership summaries.

Contribute to the ongoing review and enhancement of partner engagement, activation, monitoring, and renewal processes.

Organize and maintain legal documentation alongside financial reporting.

Assist with analytics by delivering campaign reports and measuring outcomes against partner objectives.


Foster creative engagement with partners, leveraging industry insights to navigate challenges, create business opportunities, and surpass organizational goals.


Continuously educate on industry best practices and trends, generating ideas focused on retention and growth opportunities for existing corporate partners, exploring new business categories, developing new inventory, and identifying cross-promotional/B2B opportunities.

Host sponsors and partners at various events.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, event management, or a related field.

0-2 years of experience with a proven track record in managing partnership accounts within sports or brand marketing.

Demonstrated organizational and logistics management skills.

Ability to synthesize data into meaningful insights for compelling storytelling.

Creative problem-solving capabilities, strategic thinking, and professionalism.

Proactive in completing tasks beyond expected standards and driven to improve and learn continuously.

Effective interpersonal skills to engage with colleagues, vendors, and clients, adapting communication styles as necessary.

Proficient in establishing strong client and interdepartmental relationships to drive business objectives.

Skilled in managing multiple marketing programs and partner accounts simultaneously while exhibiting excellent time management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior internship experience with an agency, team, or in sports.

Experience in an agency managing partnership accounts in sports or brand marketing.

Familiarity with tools such as Wrike and Salesforce.

Knowledge of the sports and entertainment industry, particularly NBA basketball.
