Job Opportunity: Therapeutic Foster Care Provider

Woodfords Family Services is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Therapeutic Foster Care Providers. As a Therapeutic Foster Parent, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and safe environment for children in the foster care system to live, learn, and thrive.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care services to children, including overseeing medical appointments, medication administration, and transportation.
  • Support family reunification and family visits.
  • Ensure the child's educational needs are met.
  • Collaborate with a team to provide comprehensive support to the child and their family.
Benefits:
  • Annual tax-free stipend of $16,000 to $27,000 per child placed in your care.

Requirements:
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Currently rent or own a residence in Maine.
  • Have a spare bedroom in your home for a child or teen.
  • Experience as a state-licensed family foster parent (at least 1 year) or work experience (at least 6 months) with children and/or teens.
  • Must successfully complete introductory training.
  • Possess a willingness to work with birth parents, service providers, and service agencies.
  • Supportive, flexible, and committed to helping children in foster care and their families.
