We are seeking a skilled Intake Counselor to join our team at Abraxas Youth & Family Services. As an Intake Counselor, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of patients, screening and treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, and providing individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients using ASAM Criteria
  • Screen and treat co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a CADC, LPC, or LSW
  • Two years of experience working with substance abuse
  • Ability to work independently and exercise discretion and judgment
  • Ability to promote positive behavior and manage resistant behavior
  • Valid driver's license
