National Health Care Associates is seeking a skilled Dietitian Nutrition Specialist to join our team at the Maefair Center for Health & Rehabilitation.
As a Dietitian Nutrition Specialist, you will play a vital role in evaluating the nutritional status of our residents and implementing personalized nutrition care plans. Your expertise will guide our culinary team in providing balanced and wholesome meals that support the health and vitality of those in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for residents
- Develop and ensure the implementation of individualized nutrition care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure nutritional adequacy and compliance to federal, state and local regulations
- Assist food service director in managing costs, overseeing food preparation and service, and developing department staffing plans
- Educate residents, families, and staff on nutritional requirements and healthy eating habits
- Monitor and evaluate residents' nutritional status and make necessary adjustments to care plans

Qualifications:
- Valid state license or license eligibility
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Dietetics, Nutrition or related field
- Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- Previous experience in long-term care setting preferred
- Strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
