About the Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified nursing faculty member to teach clinical courses in our BSN pre-licensure program. The successful candidate will have expertise in evidence-based best practices in teaching nursing, a passion for nursing and teaching, and a commitment to supporting diversity and student success.

Responsibilities
  • Teach OB/Peds theory, lab, simulation, and/or clinical courses in the BSN pre-licensure program
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with program faculty to implement best practices in teaching and learning
Qualifications
  • Current unencumbered licensure as a RN in the State of Maine, or eligibility for Maine licensure
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing/Master's or higher to teach the theory portion of any course
  • Clinical practice within the past five years in OB/Peds
  • Strong desire to support student learning in mental health environments and experiences
  • Teaching experience that includes the use of new technologies and delivery systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three or more years of teaching at the college level
  • MSN or higher degree in nursing
  • National certification as an Advanced Holistic Nurse (AHNCC)
  • Teaching experience within a concept-based curriculum with an emphasis on caring science
  • Experience in teaching in simulation
