The Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paint Process Intern to support our Paint Process Group with investment projects, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting. This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) that requires strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, as well as excellent communication and time management abilities.
Responsibilities- Support Paint Process Group with investment projects, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Communicate technical planning and issues with team members.
- Interact with Engineers, maintenance members, peers, team members, and supervisors regarding specialty projects and initiatives.
- Manage daily schedule to key performance indicator optimization.
- Ongoing problem-solving with technical support to production group.
Education Required: 2+ years towards an Engineering degree from an accredited University.
Specialized Skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, and MS Project.
- Good technical writing and reporting skills.
- PLC experience (Siemens).
- Process and Electrical Schematics.
- Design of Experiments.
- Functional specification/scope development experience.
Basic Knowledge
- Analytical and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason, creative and strategic.
- Communication skills – interpersonal, presentation, and written.
- Time Management – ability to work on multiple activities at once.
- Integration – joining people, processes, or systems.

- Project Management.
- Junior: $18/hour.
- Senior: $20/hour.
- Bachelor's degree/recent graduate: $24.00.
- Master's degree/enrolled or recent graduate: $27.00.
- Ph.D. / enrolled or recent graduate: $29.00.
