Job Summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a skilled Aircraft Painter to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for painting aircraft to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply paint to aircraft surfaces using electrostatic paint guns and other equipment
  • Mask and tape aircraft parts to avoid overspray
  • Sand primer and apply top coats
  • Inspect completed paint jobs for quality and accuracy
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or management
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years' experience as an aircraft painter or in a related field
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a pulmonary physical
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Working Conditions

The majority of work will be accomplished in a heated hangar or shop area. Work in aircraft on the ramp may occur. Varied positions in and around the aircraft.

Equipment Used
  • Air equipment, polisher, and sander
  • Stripper pump, electrostatic paint guns, pressure posts, and laser level
  • Tugs, power carts, and other engine-powered equipment
