TotalMed Staffing is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Yakima, Washington. As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers and their newborns during the labor and delivery process.

**About the Role**

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive nursing care to expectant mothers throughout the labor and delivery process, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
  • Monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, assessing progress during labor, and assisting with pain management techniques to ensure a safe and comfortable birthing experience.
  • Collaborating with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized birth plans and interventions.
  • Assisting with childbirth, including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures.
  • Educating and supporting mothers and their families during the postpartum period, providing breastfeeding assistance, newborn care instruction, and emotional support for the transition to parenthood.

**Requirements**

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

  • A current RN license.
  • BLS certification.
  • At least two years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience.
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills.
