About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Program Management Group Lead to join our Technical Operations team at AmplifyBio.

The successful candidate will oversee a team of project managers and drive the successful execution of multiple client programs across our advanced therapy portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, recruit, train, and develop project managers, ensuring that team members possess the necessary skills and expertise to manage multiple client programs.
  • Provide strong leadership and direction to the program management team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Develop and implement program management strategies aligned with our Contract Manufacturing (CMC) objectives and client needs.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple cell and gene therapy programs simultaneously.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Manage program budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure optimal utilization and client satisfaction.
  • Implement and refine program management processes, tools, and best practices specific to advanced therapy development and manufacturing.
  • Identify and mitigate risks across programs, developing contingency plans as needed.
  • Provide regular status updates and reports to senior management and clients.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in program management within the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of cell and gene therapy development and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations and quality systems applicable to Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-faceted programs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
