Job Summary

Carolinas Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in Supply, NC. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Assist physicians with patient care, patient triage, documentation, clerical, and organizational tasks.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Medical Record Keeping: Record patient vital signs and medical statistics for MIPS compliance.
  • Medication Management: Assist with reviewing medication history and updating medication lists.
  • Infection Control: Utilize standard precautions and comply with policies and regulatory agency standards.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with patient inquiries, prescription refills, appointment scheduling, and referral authorization.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and stock medical supplies and emergency medications/equipment.
  • Test Results: Ensure that all ordered laboratory and diagnostic tests are tracked and logged, and that the provider is presented with all test results.
  • Durable Medical Equipment: Measure, fit, and dispense DME as needed.
  • X-Ray Procedures: Take X-rays using digital or traditional X-ray machines.
  • Autoclaving: Autoclave sterilization of surgical equipment.
  • Room Preparation: Setup procedures and prepare rooms for patient care.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with doctor and front office staff for efficient care.
  • Wound Care: Assist with wound care and post-op care as needed.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Work consistently requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
  • Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
  • Exposure to Communicable Diseases: Possible exposure to communicable diseases.
  • Sensory Requirements: Intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, and touch.
  • Manual Dexterity: Manual finger dexterity.
Education and Experience
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Certifications: Recognized/certified as a CMA, MOA, or RMA preferred.
  • Compliance: Must have thorough understanding of HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
  • Medical Terminology: Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
