Emergency Screener

The Emergency Screener provides critical support to individuals in crisis, conducting emergency/mental health assessments to determine the best course of action for stabilization and treatment. This role requires a high level of emotional intelligence, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments of individuals in crisis, identifying risk factors and developing appropriate treatment plans.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, emergency room doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Develop and implement alternative treatment plans, taking into account the individual's unique needs and circumstances.
- Provide crisis stabilization services, including referrals to community resources and support services.
- Complete necessary documentation, including Authorization for Police Transport forms and Screening Documents.
- Master's degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution, plus one year of post-master's experience in a psychiatric setting; or
- Bachelor's degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution, plus three years of post-bachelor's experience in the mental health field, with at least one year in a crisis setting; or
- Bachelor's degree in a mental health-related field, with one year of experience in a crisis setting and currently enrolled in a master's program.
- Valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle, and an acceptable driving record.
