Overview

The Emergency Screener provides critical mental health assessments to individuals in crisis, ensuring timely and effective intervention. This role is a vital part of Acenda Integrated Health's mission to move lives forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of individuals in crisis, identifying potential risks and developing effective intervention plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and referral processes.
  • Develop and implement alternative treatment plans, prioritizing patient-centered care and outcomes.
  • Consult with psychiatrists and emergency room doctors to inform client disposition and ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide crisis stabilization services, including assessment and disposition planning for individuals with substance use disorders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, plus two years of mental health experience, including one year in a crisis setting.
  • Current enrollment in a Master's program or a registered professional nurse with three years of mental health experience, including one year in a crisis setting.
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications

A Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field with clinical training is highly desirable.
