Smart Building Control Specialist

The Energy Management Collaborative is seeking a highly skilled Smart Building Control Specialist to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in delivering advanced Smart Building control solutions for our clients and driving significant Return on Investment (ROI) opportunities.
About the JobThis position involves implementing cutting-edge Smart Building control systems, collaborating with field teams, customers, and various departments to ensure successful project execution. Key responsibilities include integrating disparate building control systems, leveraging expertise in HVAC/lighting and building automation system knowledge to develop local stations that unlock ROI-centric solutions, and developing proficiency in existing business processes and tools at EMC.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with Controls Engineering and other engineers on the SBC team to design and develop control systems for specific projects
- Draft and develop installation and commissioning documentation for SBC programs and projects
- Draft point lists, sequence of operations, and other related documents
- Program local stations that satisfy sequence of operations
- Develop and program BMS user interfaces
- Perform systems integrations using a wide variety of protocols, including basic software
- Ensure technologies are integrated and technically compliant per applicable standards
- Communicate results to Controls Manager, Controls Engineering, and others at EMC as necessary
- Work collaboratively with a team of Controls personnel
- Navigate Smart Building industry trends and help position EMC to capitalize on them
- Other duties as assigned
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Technical proficiencies in A/C electrical circuits and low-voltage D/C electrical circuits and operation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and device data sheets, as well as familiarity with creating technical shop drawings, including riser diagrams
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Strong technical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of Industry best practices
- Superior knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Lighting, and Hardware Systems
- Programming proficiency with Niagara-based systems, including but not limited to N4
The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive compensation package, including benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
