Job Summary:

As a Chemical Operator, you will be responsible for processing raw materials into finished polymeric materials using industrial equipment. You will perform in-process and finished quality testing of raw materials and finished products, operate distillation equipment, and handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste bulk transfers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform production functions in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Follow established production procedures and instructions, including loading raw materials and using distributed control system with sensors.
  • Follow quality and safety standards, including wearing proper personal protective equipment and performing lab tests to determine raw materials and finished products meet documented quality standards.
  • Meet production deadlines, following production schedule and performing assigned production duties within established cycle time guidelines.
  • Monitor processes and perform inspections of waste storage and safety systems at designated intervals.
  • Perform activities to clean, secure, and maintain work areas, including cleaning up after raw material loading activities and returning tools to proper storage locations.
  • Complete production records and inventory transactions, including updating process documentation and raw material inventory using business process software.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years chemical manufacturing experience, with experience with polymer or reaction chemistry preferred.
  • Fork Truck Certification.
  • HAZMAT training (Hazwoper, etc) or experience preferred.
