Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Jefferson Center for Mental Health. As a Police-Based Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing early intervention assessment, referrals, and clinical case management services to individuals in the community who are identified by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office as possibly having mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany JCSO officers on mental health-related calls in the community, providing crisis intervention, assessment, and linkage to services.
  • Assess referrals to determine appropriateness for services at Jefferson Center and provide case management services, including linking to services, monitoring, follow-up, and crisis management.
  • Provide services to meet the needs of consumers, including office-based, community-based, or in-home services.
  • Make appropriate referrals to and act as a liaison with community agencies, service providers, and natural support systems.
  • Collaborate with consumers, family members, and significant others to identify strengths and needs and develop treatment plans.
  • Work with the Benefits/Navigation Team to assist consumers with benefits and entitlements.
  • Provide on-going training and educational opportunities for officers to increase awareness of de-escalation, mental health, and intervention.
  • Participate in team meetings, clinical staffings, and clinical consultation as scheduled.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in a related field from an accredited university/college.
  • One to two years of related experience and/or training.
  • Clinical licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle report required.
Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $57,000 - $64,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and holidays.
