Job Title: Process Engineer III

Merrick & Company is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our Energy, Manufacturing & Bioprocessing Team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Process Engineer with expertise in oil refining, gas processing, ammonia, or chemical plant experience to work on a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and designers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine appropriate designs.
  • Prepare process design deliverables, including process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, orifice and equipment sizing calculations, and process line sizing calculations.
  • Execute vendor coordination for selection of instrumentation and equipment.
  • Perform process tasks autonomously, including calculations, report writing, and options study.
  • Review and check the work of other process engineers to determine accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate design inputs and design activities with other engineering disciplines in a team environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience and/or training.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be insurable under Merrick's insurance carrier.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Aspen Hysys, AspenPlus, AFT Arrow, and Fathom, MathCAD, AutoCAD.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License.
