Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our Operations Project Management/Technical Documentation team at Integrated Resources, Inc. (IRI). This role will support our manufacturing operation in producing products used for labeling and detection in cell biology, molecular biology, and related fields.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Write work instructions for technical/scientific manufacturing operations in the Finished Goods Manufacturing Department.
  • Review and interpret historical production records and manufacturing documents to collect data and information about existing processes.
  • Work directly with manufacturing department staff to determine required document format and methods, procedures, and best practices to include in the instructions.
  • Manage document creation and revision in an electronic document control system.
  • Utilize internal software systems to manage creation and revision of raw material, sub-assembly, and finished good SKUs.
  • Accurately follow SKU data standards and supply chain requirements that impact SKU set-up.
  • Coordinate with team members to share workload, track and report project status, and review work done by others to ensure accuracy.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field, such as Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
  • 2 years laboratory or manufacturing experience in a scientific/technical field.
  • Combination of academic background and work experience that demonstrates the following skills and the ability to quickly learn new skills.
Desired Skills:
  • Ability to interpret and summarize scientific/technical results in a clear, concise, and accurate manner.
  • Solid technical writing skills with an ability to document synthetic, conjugation, or formulation procedures accurately and succinctly.
  • Ability to write in English with proper word usage, grammar, and spelling.
  • Experience using Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality business systems.
  • Ability to intuitively perform UOM conversion in the metric system and chemistry conversions.
  • Ability to understand standard calculations used to obtain quantitative results.
  • Effective communication skills in a diverse work environment.
  • Eager learner with willingness to follow work standards and contribute ideas for improvement.
