We are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This position demands extensive expertise in IT and application security, including knowledge of vulnerabilities and exploits. The ideal candidate will excel in collaboration across various teams and contribute to the comprehensive suite of security services, encompassing strategy, planning, integration, and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Engineering division by developing, assessing, integrating, and enforcing security tools such as static and dynamic analyzers, security frameworks, and more.
  • Implement security tools and integrations aligned with our strategic objectives.
  • Promote the adoption of internal security protocols.
  • Evaluate and recommend software security products and technologies.
  • Provide expert consulting on information security to internal development teams.
  • Collaborate with technologists to offer technical guidance on application security.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of application security standards.
  • Assist internal teams with code reviews and oversee the remediation of identified issues.
  • Stay informed about security and privacy regulations, industry best practices, and technological advancements.
  • Define security configurations for threat detection and prevention tools.
  • Design automated workflows to enhance security operations.
  • Research and analyze technologies, products, and solutions to meet enterprise requirements.
  • Administer and support security tools across various platforms.
  • Design, implement, and manage solutions within Linux, Mac, and PC environments.
  • Assist with system versioning, patch management, and lifecycle management.
  • In essence, your role will be to minimize security risks effectively.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years in an IT security role.
  • At least 5 years in systems and network administration.
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud computing.
  • 3+ years with security frameworks, APIs, and libraries.
  • Experience with security tools such as Fortify, AppScan, NESSUS, and Metasploit.
  • Proficiency in various operating systems including Linux, Mac, and Windows.
  • Deep understanding of cloud security best practices and monitoring for cloud-hosted systems.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies, including containers.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve issues independently.
  • Experience managing security systems' maintenance and upgrades.
  • Knowledge of system and network architecture.
  • Scripting skills (Python, Shell, PowerShell) are a plus.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Current recognized security certifications (CISSP, GIAC) are advantageous.
  • Experience in large-scale enterprises is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with security vendors and product capabilities.
  • Experience in configuration management and automation is a plus.
