Job Description:

We are a dynamic and growing construction company in the New York metropolitan area, specializing in both commercial and municipal projects.

We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Accountant to ensure smooth financial operations on our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, review, and submit progress billings in accordance with AIA standards.
  • Monitor collections and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Ensure all required supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Maintain accurate financial records for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial compliance.
  • Assist with project budgeting and forecasting.
  • Manage change orders and allowances in the financial system.
  • Reconcile project costs and revenue on a regular basis.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction project accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of AIA billing, progress billing, change orders, and allowances.
  • Familiarity with collections processes in a construction environment.
  • Experience with construction accounting software; Plexxis experience is a plus.
  • Strong Excel skills are a must.
  • Textura experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Schedule:

4 days in the office, 1 day remote.
