About Capitol Technology University

Capitol Technology University is seeking an experienced Assistant Comptroller to join our finance team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial records and reports.

As Assistant Comptroller, you will be responsible for supervising and mentoring the accounting team, as well as coordinating and participating in various financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, payroll, general ledger, financial reporting, cash management, federal grant accounting, contract accounting, record archival, and federal reporting.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage the day-to-day financial activities of the University and Foundation, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  2. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  3. Supervise the accounting team and provide guidance and support as needed.
  4. Collaborate with the Office of Registration, Financial Aid, Graduate & Undergraduate Admissions, Development, Student Services, and Residence Life to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  5. Prepare financial reports and analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners.
  7. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations, and implement necessary changes to our financial systems and procedures.
  8. Perform other related duties as assigned.
