Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse II to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, adhering to established standards of care and protocols.
  • Assist medical personnel with special procedures, minor surgical procedures, and diagnostic exams, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Monitor patient condition, notify physicians or healthcare professionals as needed, and prepare and administer medications as directed.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies, identify and arrange for repairs, and apply principles of aseptic technique and infection control.
  • Provide medical information and education to patients, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Document patient information, assessments, and nursing procedures, maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as directed, including transporting patients, routing specimens, and maintaining department logs.
Requirements
  • Minimum one year of recent experience as a LVN in an acute or outpatient setting.
  • Vocational Nurse License (California) and Basic Life Support certification.
