Job Summary

Hallmark Glass Inc. is seeking a skilled Estimator Assistant to join our team. As an Estimator Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our estimating team by providing accurate and timely estimates for construction projects.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of estimates for construction projects, including reading and understanding architectural drawings.
  • Submit bids and budgets by the deadline, ensuring 100% accuracy and timeliness.
  • Follow up on estimates to ensure timely completion and resolution of any issues.
  • Provide pricing for change orders on awarded projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Make site visits to specific projects as required, ensuring accurate assessment of project requirements.
  • Submit bids daily, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
  • Keep track of estimating on all submitted projects, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Assist with phone coverage when needed, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Show creativity and resourcefulness to gain better pricing from vendors, ensuring cost savings for the company.
  • Work collaboratively as a team player, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and estimating software, including proficiency in data entry and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
  • Strong geometry and math skills, with the ability to accurately interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge and experience of custom door hardware, aluminum glazing systems, and their applications.
  • Goal-driven and results-oriented, with a focus on delivering high-quality estimates and supporting the company's growth and success.
