Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Specimen Collector to join our team in Arlington, VA.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collect and process medical specimens from patients of all age groups, ensuring accurate labeling and storage according to established procedures.
  • Explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection methods to patients in a clear and courteous manner.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using straight needles and butterfly needles for specimen collection.
  • Maintain accurate records of specimen collection, including patient information and laboratory results.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in medical specimen collection and processing.
  • Experience with labeling and storing specimens according to established procedures.
  • Ability to explain complex medical procedures to patients in a clear and concise manner.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
