We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse II to join our team at Alameda Health System. As a Registered Nurse II, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Accompany and Assist Patients: Provide support and representation for patients to other healthcare providers.
- Provide Accurate Care: Administer medications, provide skin and wound care, and perform other essential patient care activities with precision and attention to detail.
- Develop and Implement Care Plans: Create, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, and make necessary modifications to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Assess and Gather Patient Information: Collect and analyze patient data to inform nursing decisions and collaborate with physicians to perform procedures and diagnostic tests.
- Provide Oversight and Leadership: Supervise and guide staff members, and assume responsibility as a team leader or charge nurse when assigned.
- Participate in Quality Improvement: Contribute to the implementation of patient care standards, infection control standards, and quality assurance criteria, and participate in unit and other meetings.
- Provide Patient Education: Teach patients and families about health care and disease prevention techniques, and prepare patients for procedures and operations.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: Six months experience as a Registered Nurse I with AHS or the equivalent of one year full-time recent experience at a comparable level in a minimum 100-bed hospital or in the area of specialty.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California, ACLS, BLS, CPI, and PALS certifications may be required per unit/department specialty.
