Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a dedicated PET-CT Imaging Specialist who will uphold patient care and possess the technical expertise required to conduct PET/CT procedures.

This role entails ensuring the safety and care of patients while in the facility, maintaining records as required for quality control, quality assurance, and compliance with state regulations.

You will be responsible for the safe handling, receipt, administration, and disposal of radioactive materials.

Additionally, you will initiate and maintain IV access and may be tasked with administering specified medications under the physician's guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct PET CT procedures following established protocols, assess images for technical quality, and ensure all requirements are met through to completion.
  2. Provide training to technologists regarding Radiation Protection and exposure as designated by the Radiation Safety Officer.
  3. Keep management updated on any changes in the Radiation Protection Program as it pertains to the Radiation Safety Officer.
  4. Serve as the primary contact for any inquiries regarding radiation exposure or the Radiation Protection Program in the absence of the Radiation Safety Officer.
  5. Coordinate technologist coverage as necessary for the imaging department in the absence of the Supervisor.

Qualifications:


Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date. Registered Computerized Tomography Technician certification within 6 months of hire. Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification. State Registered Radiologic Technician or State License in Nuclear Medicine.
