Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our Radiation Oncology department at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our oncologists in their daily duties.
Responsibilities- Assist oncologists with daily duties, including appointment intake, patient history, and treatment planning
- Document patient histories, treatments, and diagnostics into veterinary software (EzyVet)
- Develop proficiency in EzyVet and SmartFlow within the first 30 days
- Handle department voicemail, client callbacks, and documentation
- Assist with exams, treatments, and diagnostics, including radiation therapy, chemotherapy treatments, and patient exams
- Obtain and process laboratory samples, such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates
- Execute, monitor, and recover sedation and anesthetic events
- Maintain equipment on a per-use basis to ensure patient safety and best practice care
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot linear accelerators (LINAC)
- Review estimates and discharges with clients, providing education on oncology disease processes and procedures
- LVMT, CVT, LVT, or RVT licensure and at least 1+ years of veterinary hospital experience
- Reasonably in-depth understanding of veterinary medicine and basic disease processes
- Broad technical abilities, including phlebotomy, catheterization, patient restraint, radiographs, in-house lab, pharmacology, and medication/fluid/oxygen administration
- Experience with radiation oncology and linear accelerators (LINAC) is preferred but not required
