About the Position:
The University of Miami is seeking a full-time Academic Professional in Business Law to join the Department of Business Law. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of Business Law, Ethics, and Critical Thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach 8 courses per academic year, including lecturing, leading class discussions, and conducting other teaching activities
- Create, administer, and grade assessments using appropriate methods
- Hold office hours and provide additional support for students outside of class time
- Collaborate with the chair and faculty of the Business Law Department to create coursework and support the department's mission
- Stay current in the field and follow established expectations and protocols for the department
Requirements:
- A terminal degree in law (J.D.) from an accredited institution
- Demonstrable excellence in teaching Business Law, Ethics, and Critical Thinking
- Experience in teaching at a high level of proficiency
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

The department is home to the University's Legal Studies major and Business Law minor, and is comprised of accomplished full-time tenure, tenure-track faculty, educators, and instructors with varied scholarly interests.
