Overview:
Quincy Medical Group is a leading healthcare provider in West Central Illinois, Southeast Iowa, and Northeast Missouri. We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team.

As a Surgical Technologist, you will work alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to assist with surgical procedures. Your key responsibilities will include preparing the operating room, handling surgical instruments, and maintaining sterile environments.

Key qualifications for this role include a demonstrated educational background in surgical technology, a strong understanding of surgical procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology. You will also need to be able to stand for long periods, move heavy equipment, and reposition patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the operating room and positioning of the patient before the beginning of surgery
  • Ensure surgical procedures are performed safely and efficiently
  • Handle surgical instruments and maintain sterile environments
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures

Qualifications:


The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree from an accredited school of surgical technology and one year of clinical experience. Key qualities include teamwork, professionalism, adaptability, and competence in using surgical equipment and knowledge of various sterilization materials and equipment.
