Associate Director, Physician Development Program

AbbVie's Physician Development Program (PDP) is a comprehensive, two-year rotational program designed to develop and support high-potential specialist physician talent in transitioning to a successful career within R&D at AbbVie.
Program Objectives- Develop and support high-potential specialist physician talent
- Provide rotational assignments within core R&D sub-functions
- Foster a multi-level mentorship program and professional development sessions
Responsibilities may include:
- Designing and implementing study protocols for development programs
- Overseeing clinical studies and monitoring overall study integrity
- Participating in design and execution of clinical trial safety, product safety, and risk management plans
- Contributing to the design, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of scientific content of protocols, Investigator Brochures, Clinical Study Reports, regulatory submissions, and responses
Minimum qualifications include:
- Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
- Completion of U.S. residency training by Fall 2025
- U.S. board eligibility or certification (U.S. State or Commonwealth licensure)
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Preferred qualifications include:
- Medical specialty training in Eye Care, Oncology, Neurology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, or Gastroenterology
- Fellowship training associated with clinical research
- Additional healthcare/research academic degrees, including PhD or MPH
