We are seeking a highly skilled Silicon Validation Engineer to join our dynamic team at Apple. As a key member of our Analog Mixed Signal IP team, you will play a critical role in the development and validation of our cutting-edge mobile SoC's.
Key Responsibilities- Bench test, debug, and characterize embedded on-chip circuitry, including PLLs, DLLs, Clocks, Data Converters, DDR Memory, and various I/O Interfaces.
- Develop and execute benchtop electrical tests to exercise on-chip circuitry through a combination of FPGA, JTAG, SPI, and analog interfaces.
- Draft and execute scripts to automate tests, extract results, and generate reports using database and analytical tools.
- Generate reports for characterization and/or debugging to provide design feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design, System HW, and SW.
- Support ATE and Product Engineering.
- Experience in AMS test development, including review of specification documents, drafting validation plans, building test benches, and performing data collection with automation.
- Strong fundamental understanding of analog and mixed signal circuitry in one or more of the following domains: PLL, Data Converter, DDR Memory, Temp Sensor, etc.
- Proficient in lab instruments, such as Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Pattern Generator, etc.
- Experienced in scripting languages, with Python preferred, to automate tests and analyze data.
- Diligent and emphasis on quality of results.
- Initiative in taking ownership and responsibility to drive deliverables.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Hands-on lab experience, including soldering and instrumenting systems, is a plus.
