We are seeking a highly skilled Charge Integrity Analyst to join our team at Loma Linda Unv Shared Services. As a key member of our Shared Services: HIM Charge Integrity department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of CPT charges in compliance with federal and state regulations, government and contract payers, and grant funding.
Key Responsibilities- Perform CPT coding, including E and M and other charge validation functions from computer systems, to ensure the quality and accuracy of CPT charges.
- Assign diagnosis and procedure codes in compliance with the American Hospital Association Official Coding Guidelines.
- Perform coding in areas of Outpatient Labs, Inpatient and Outpatient Admit Lists, Modifier 91, specific types of ED or other Outpatient coding.
- Assist with OSHPD reports and assign and maintain state performance and quality standards.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of Basic Coding Training that includes Current Procedure Technology (CPT) required.
- Minimum six months of coding experience in an outpatient facility required.
- Certified Professional Coder Certification (CPC) required.
- Valid Driver's License required at time of hire.
- Able to keyboard 40 wpm.
- Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality.
- Able to use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Able to operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position.
- Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others.
- Able to work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.
- Able to collaborate and accept direction.
- Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone.
