Basic Qualifications:Experience:
Minimum one year of recent experience in Labor & Delivery or completion of a relevant training program within the last year.
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with required clinical experience; or a licensed vocational nursing program with relevant experience.
- Current enrollment in an accredited MSN program with completed pre-licensure requirements.
- Registered Nurse License (California)
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification
- Demonstrated understanding of the RN scope of practice.
- Commitment to service excellence.
- Effective communication skills in both written and verbal forms.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Adherence to collective bargaining agreements.
- Current ACLS certification may be required in specific units.
- Completion of fetal monitoring competencies may be necessary within the initial months of employment.
- Willingness to cross-train in other relevant areas as needed.
- Completion of AWHONN Labor & Delivery course is preferred.
