Basic Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum one year of recent experience in Labor & Delivery or completion of a relevant training program within the last year.
Education:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with required clinical experience; or a licensed vocational nursing program with relevant experience.
  • Current enrollment in an accredited MSN program with completed pre-licensure requirements.
License, Certification, Registration:
  • Registered Nurse License (California)
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification
Additional Requirements:
  • Demonstrated understanding of the RN scope of practice.
  • Commitment to service excellence.
  • Effective communication skills in both written and verbal forms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Adherence to collective bargaining agreements.
  • Current ACLS certification may be required in specific units.
  • Completion of fetal monitoring competencies may be necessary within the initial months of employment.
  • Willingness to cross-train in other relevant areas as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of AWHONN Labor & Delivery course is preferred.
