Position Summary:
The Rental Equipment Inspector is responsible for conducting thorough inspections to ensure equipment is rental-ready. This role includes assisting with the organization of the equipment yard, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting equipment pickup and return processes. Additionally, the inspector will aid in minor maintenance tasks for rental equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect Returned Equipment: Evaluate rental equipment upon return for any defects, report damages immediately, and document conditions to assist in repair cost recovery.
  • Yard Management: Maintain organization and cleanliness of the equipment yard, ensuring all items are stored properly and that equipment is clean and operational.
  • Assist with Equipment Handling: Help unload trucks, assist customers with loading and unloading, and ensure all equipment is in designated areas.
  • Time Management: Efficiently manage time to maximize productivity, maintain a clean work area, and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Additional Duties: Participate in training, perform pre-delivery inspections, assist in minor repairs, and complete any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Capability to follow instructions accurately and complete tasks on time.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to learn and obtain necessary certifications for equipment operation.

Preferred Skills:

  • Possession of basic hand tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Physical Requirements:
This role involves working outdoors and may require lifting up to 100 pounds frequently. Candidates should be prepared for varying weather conditions and must adhere to safety protocols while operating equipment.
