About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Construction Manager to join our team as an Owner's Representative. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the development of affordable housing projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of construction project management, including project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Develop project scope, schedule, and cost estimates, and monitor project progress.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors to ensure quality standards, building codes, and safety regulations are met.
  • Review work progress daily, troubleshoot potential problems, and implement solutions.
  • Act as the main point of contact for on-site managers, clients, architects, and other project stakeholders.
  • Ensure project documents, contracts, and drawings are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Prepare internal and external reports on job status and present them to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with contractors and subcontractors to ensure their performance meets project requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management, with a strong focus on affordable housing development.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering high-quality affordable housing projects on time and within budget.
  • Exceptional knowledge of building products, construction details, relevant rules, regulations, quality standards, and building codes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in construction management software.
  • Ability to plan and see the 'big picture' with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Professional certification in project management or a related field is an asset.
