Job Title: Lead Teacher Childcare

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team at Future Is Ahead ChildCare Center. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment for our children, while also mentoring and supervising our assistant teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote the physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of our children.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers, ensuring they adhere to classroom routines and teaching standards.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that is conducive to learning and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and development, including conducting parent-teacher conferences.
  • Perform ongoing assessments of children's performance and development, adjusting educational strategies and techniques as needed.
  • Manage classroom supplies, equipment, and resources, including preparing and requesting materials necessary for daily activities and special projects.
  • Coordinate and lead special events, field trips, and activities that enhance the learning experience and engage the community.
  • Address and report any signs of emotional or developmental problems in children, working closely with parents and specialists to implement support strategies.

Requirements:

  • Must be a WI Registry Level 3 or higher.
  • Must have all CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Experience working with children in a teaching position or administering childcare.
  • Must pass a fingerprinted background check.
