Job Overview

At Future Is Ahead ChildCare Center, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Educator to oversee our classroom environment and ensure that every child receives the highest standard of early childhood education. This role is crucial in fostering a nurturing and educational atmosphere for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Design and execute age-appropriate educational programs and daily activities that promote the holistic development of children.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and support assistant educators and volunteers, ensuring adherence to established teaching protocols and classroom management.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating classroom that meets health and safety standards.
  • Parent Communication: Engage with parents and guardians regularly to discuss their child's growth, behavior, and educational progress, including organizing parent-teacher meetings.
  • Assessment and Adaptation: Continuously evaluate children's development and modify teaching strategies to meet their evolving needs.
  • Resource Management: Oversee classroom supplies and materials, ensuring that all necessary resources are available for daily activities.
  • Event Coordination: Plan and execute special events and activities that enrich the educational experience and involve the community.
  • Child Development Monitoring: Identify and report any emotional or developmental concerns in children, collaborating with parents and specialists to provide necessary support.
Qualifications

  • Strong leadership capabilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children and adults.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with parents and staff.
  • Knowledge of contemporary educational practices and child development theories.

  • A professional demeanor that represents the childcare facility positively.
Education and Experience Requirements

Candidates should have:

  • A minimum of a Level 3 Wisconsin Registry certification.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • At least two years of experience in a teaching role or childcare administration.
  • A successful background check.
