Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Unity Health HomeCare.
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will have the opportunity to build trusted relationships with patients, provide exercise instruction and patient education, and contribute to improving patient well-being.
The ideal candidate will be licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy, have current CPR certification, and possess a reliable vehicle or access to public transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, functional, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
- Observe, record, and report patient response to treatment and changes in patient condition to the supervising PT, nurse supervisor, and/or physician.
- Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team as appropriate.
Requirements:
- Current licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
- Current CPR certification.
- Current drivers license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
