Job Overview
Key Responsibilities of a Construction Project Engineer
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions related to staff, projects, and sensitive information.
- Engage in initial activities during the Design Phase, which includes preparing submittal drawings, obtaining design approvals, and creating reinforcement and miscellaneous metal drawings.
- Oversee manufacturing-related tasks in the Production Phase, ensuring the creation of comprehensive shop drawings, procurement of necessary materials, adherence to casting schedules, and execution of quality inspections.
- Manage field-related responsibilities during the Erection Phase, which involves preparing crane studies, rigging diagrams, and coordinating shipping and manpower needs on-site. Ensure that field operations align with quality standards and project plans.
- Conduct general project management duties, including identifying and resolving issues, coordinating procedure submittals, escalating concerns as needed, and monitoring compliance with contract specifications, budgets, and timelines.
