  • Defining and controlling project scope, schedule, and costs
  • Collaborating with clients, internal departments, and external consultants to negotiate cost-effective subcontracts and material purchases
  • Developing and implementing job procedures and techniques to ensure timely buyout, shop drawing approval, and material delivery
  • Maintaining accurate and timely reporting to management on cost forecasting and construction progress
  • Organizing and facilitating regular meetings with management and subcontractors
  • Managing multiple projects in various phases of the project life cycle
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in federal contracting and construction management
  • B.S. degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in government contracting
  • Demonstrated experience estimating and managing self-performed work activities and subcontract work
  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English written and spoken word
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and be a solid team player
