Mental Health Support Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at EIHAB Human Services.
As a Mental Health Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges.
Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of our clients, promoting their independence and quality of life.
You will work closely with our team to develop and implement personalized plans, providing assistance with daily living activities, medication management, and transportation as needed.
With a strong emphasis on communication and teamwork, you will contribute to a positive and supportive environment that fosters growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with personal care and hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide support with meal preparation and eating, as well as household maintenance tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
- Dispense medications and maintain accurate documentation, as required.
- Transport clients to appointments, programs, and recreational activities, as scheduled.
- Participate in program meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in caregiving or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move clients safely, as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation:
$18.25 per hour, with opportunities for overtime and advancement within the organization.
