We are seeking a talented and driven Executive Vice President of Construction to lead our Construction Department.


Job Summary:

The Executive Vice President of Construction is a critical member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Construction Department.

This role requires an expert in construction management with extensive experience in building multi-family housing communities across many markets simultaneously.

The EVP will lead, mentor, and manage all construction employees, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The role also involves regular travel to job sites to ensure project oversight and compliance.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Construction Department.
  2. Oversee the performance and development of all construction employees.
  3. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
  4. Ensure the successful execution of all construction projects from inception to completion.
  5. Monitor project progress, quality, and budget adherence.
  6. Address any issues affecting project timelines or costs and provide effective solutions.
  7. Travel to job sites as needed to ensure project oversight and compliance.

Requirements:

Minimum of 20 years of experience in construction management.

Extensive experience in building multi-family housing communities.

Knowledge of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs.

Proven experience in leading and managing large teams including a significant percentage of remote staff.


Preferred Qualifications:

Expertise in project management methodologies and procedures.

Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
